Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
In short: this site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. The only personal data I receive is what you choose to send me through the contact form or by email, and I use it only to reply to you.
Who is responsible
This website is the personal, non-commercial portfolio of Muhammad Azmin Muhamad Yusmizan, a student living in Villeurbanne, France. I am the controller of the personal data described below within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach me at muhammad-azmin.muhamad-yusmizan@insa-lyon.fr.
What data is processed, and why
Visiting the site
The site is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). To deliver the pages and protect the service, GitHub's servers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and may keep them in server logs. I have no access to these logs. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Fonts
The typefaces are loaded from Bunny Fonts, operated by BunnyWay d.o.o. in Slovenia (EU). Your browser connects to their servers to download the font files. Bunny Fonts states that it does not log or store personal data from these requests. See fonts.bunny.net/about.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to Formspree, Inc. (USA), which forwards them to my inbox. I use them only to read and answer your message. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw it at any time by emailing me. Because Formspree processes data in the United States, your message leaves the EU; Formspree describes how it protects this data in its privacy policy. If you prefer, you can simply email me instead.
If you email me directly, your message is handled by the INSA Lyon email service. I use it only to reply to you.
Language preference
If you choose a language other than English, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key lang, so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device and is not a tracking tool, so it does not require consent. You can delete it by clearing your browser's site data.
How long data is kept
I keep messages for as long as our conversation is useful, and delete them at the latest 12 months after our last exchange, unless we agree to stay in touch professionally. Formspree and GitHub apply their own retention periods, described in their policies.
What this site does not do
- No cookies, analytics, advertising or social media trackers.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data with anyone other than the providers named above.
- No automated decision-making or profiling.
Links to LinkedIn and GitHub take you to their own websites, which have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email me; I will answer within one month. If you think your data has been handled unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority in your own EU country.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes, for example if a new service is added, I will update this page and the date at the top.
